Occupational Health and Safety Philosophy
The Management of Prestige Design & Construction is committed to a Safe and Healthy Working Environment for all its workers and stakeholders. To promote a “Zero Accident” philosophy and foster a good and safe work attitude amongst all its employees both within the company and those contracted.
It is the responsibility of Prestige Design & Construction to establish and maintain a safe working environment through:
Proper maintenance of plant and equipment to ensure physical and health hazards are guarded against or eliminated.
Maintaining work procedures conducive to accident and disease free production.
It is of utmost importance to get the fullest corporation and understanding of all workers, in the putting together and implementing the Safety Policies and/or Safe Work Procedures. This is done through our Daily Toolbox Meeting and our Weekly Safety Meetings, where any suggestions for changes or additions can be made.
It is the responsibility of supervisors and foremen to ensure that all workers are well trained and for those who may come into contact with the work environment, to follow all Safety Procedures and all relevant regulations pertaining to the job site.
Prestige Design & Construction continues their development of a Job Safety Analysis (JSA), with the input of all parties involved, before the commencement of any aspect of the job, thereby, reducing the risk factor and the promotion of a safe working environment to all. It is also the prerogative of each worker to follow the Safe Work Procedures, and to observe all regulations pertaining to his/her job, and to cooperate in attaining the objective of accident and disease free production.
Prestige Design & Construction views the input of each worker in promoting and maintaining a safe work environment. We believe that safety procedures and awareness are not restricted to the working environment. All employees are therefore encouraged to practice these safety precautions in their everyday lives since our greatest asset is our employees.
